ID Requirements
Proof of identity
- Passport must be in date and signed.
- Full or provisional UK photocard driving licence must be in date.
- UK paper driving licence must be in date.
- National ID Card/Citizen Photocard/Share code with valid right to remain such Biometric Residence Permit, settled or pre-settled status or a valid Visa.
- Voter Authority Certificate must be in date.
- HM Armed Forces Veteran Card / Military ID Card must be in date.
- Blue Disabled Drivers Pass must be in date and include a photo of the applicant.
- Firearms certificate or shotgun licence must be in date and include a photo of the applicant.
Proof of address (must match the application)
- Full or provisional UK photocard driving licence must be in date.
- UK paper driving licence must be in date.
- Bank, building society, credit card or credit union or mortgage statement. Must be most recent and less than 3 months old.
- Utility bills (not mobile phone or TV licence). Must be most recent and less than 3 months old.
- Annual council tax bill. Must be the most recent and from the current tax year.
- A signed tenancy agreement. Must be signed and in date.
- HMRC/DWP correspondence including name and address. Must be less than 12 months old.
- NHS correspondence including name and address. Must be less than 12 months old.
Note: The same document cannot be used to prove an applicant’s identity and their address. Applicants can also not use two documents from the same source.
